tidewaterfly 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2010 Should catch something! As long as it's not the back of your head or your ear you should do fine!
TitanFlies 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2010 It's cool and all but I don't think that's legal in my state haha...
David Legg 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2010 It's cool and all but I don't think that's legal in my state haha... I was just thinking the same thing... I think here we can fish up to three hook points on most waters that are fly fish restricted. It's a cool fly though, and you could toss it on waters that are not fly fishing only. AlexC 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2010 I doubt you'll catch anything with it. Now if you would have used 5 segments, then I could guarantee it would catch fish.
TitanFlies 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2010 In my state, you can't even use trebles for fly fishing. Limit is 2 hooks per rig...

BrianMyers 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2010 Looks like something out of Alice in Wonderland, but where is the hookah? :dunno: You could always remove the 2nd and 4th hook point.
bad fish rising 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2010 awesome i do think it might be dangerous to cast but i think it would be legal to use in michigan as long as you are not in a designated trout stream so bass watch out
FishyboY 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2010 it is legal in my state.... plus we dont have any lakes that are fly fishing only so i expect good stuff on the bass front!
ChuckingFluff 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2010 Neat concept but if you plan on fishing it and to stay on the safe side I'll suggest you debarb your hooks and learn the Belgium cast. Other than that have fun.

Arkansas Mike 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2010 Oh yeah...I'd injure myself (or someone else) with that for sure. :crying: Mike
Pelhament 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2010 I'd personally remove the middle two hook points and just use the back hook for short strikes the front hook for normal strikes. Those two middle hooks are only going to lead to more injury on an errant cast, higher percentage of tangles and a longer amount of time the fish will be out of the water. 4 hook points is really unnecessary. Looks like a great pattern though and should have a ton of movement. It probably will slither like a snake on the surface.
FishyboY 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2010 yeah i am debarbing the hooks like i always do and i am going to try and cut the two middle hooks..... just they are saltwater hooks so i will see if the pliers will work!
