dryfly purist 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2010 Playing around with Clear stretch tubing. It`s really interesting to see how the clear stretch tubing works with the color of the dubbing/tread underneath. It makes great effects and will be interesting when it comes to the lightning conditions at the river/lake. The first one has some ostrich in between the woven knots. All the emergers has woven Clear stretch tubing except one who has Clear on top and amber ST under. The hook is tmc 200R #8 Hope you like Terje! Thanks for all Thanks avelino I never ever fish with sinking flies, i`m a dryfly purist These flies do not sink more than that i still see them above water, they are held up by the hackle and lies perfect in the surface so i can see it when the trout rises to the fly So the weight is no problem. The stretch tubing is almost weightless and by weaving the body it lies a bit heavy in the surface but the way it´s made keeps it from going under........THANK GOD Terje!
