johan-p 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2010 Thank you so much guys I really appreciate the nice comments. I think the whole tying process took somewhere around 50 hours. Johan Yeah, but will it catch fish???? J/K! Well I don’t think so because it will never touch water. But do you know the meaning of ‘’realistic fly tying’’?? Johan Hmmm, I think so. Do you know the meaning of "sarcasm"?? Yeah I know and you are good at it. Johan
Jeremy Parker 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2010 Ok here is how I do the wings. I take a print from the wings of a dragonfly then I lay on top of it a sheet of thin clear plastic like from an overhead sheet but thinner. Then take fibers from a paintbrush, stick one end whit some varnish on a vain and then whit a needle sock in varnish follow the vain and cut of where the vain stops, repeat the process whit every vain, and that way you get some nice wings. Then draw the outside of the wings and cut the out. It is very time consuming but the result is very nice and worth the effort. I hope you guys can understand what I try to explain. Any more questions, please let me know. Johan Thanks so much for sharing your method ! Blessings, Jeremy
