Fly Tying

Ok....So I had some friends request this, and of course there was a thread started on here about making baby ducks or birds. Big fish definetly eat them...So here is my first stab at it. The head was made separate and then trimmed and attached with 30lb mono...It wiggles around when moved....Let me know what you think....

Awesome tie! That will defiantly catch the culprits who ate those baby ducks! Keep us posted on what that girl catches with it! I'm curious if its a Pike, LMB, or maybe even a big catfish.

Pretty impressive Smallie! Very nice tie, this could easily qualify for the Realistic Tying Forum. The tail feather does make it look more like a sparrow than a duck, baby ducks have an imperceptible nub for a tail, but I don't think the bass would turn down a bird and the tail feathers actually look nice there. Man, I'll bet the action of the bobble head alone will be enough to provoke a strike.

Way to go.

That is an awesome tie! Talk about thinking outside the box . . . . I really like that bird-like profile when viewed from below. Major kudos!

You have outdone your usual superlative job on this one.

I can't tell the one shown in the bottom row on the right from the real thing! :D

Nice tie and great idea.

I saw a pike take a swallow off the water when i was younger.

It was one of the most aggressive strikes I have ever seen.
