Not on Tying .. FISHING Today

Hi Guys!

 

Took out my NEW Rod and Reel .. 6wt .. panfish poppers (gonna learn how to tie those!)

 

Small local pond .... did manage to get the popper out in the water a respectable distance ...

This the FIRST time I've tried Fly Fishing .. period.

 

Watched a ton of web page videos .. have a basic idea of what I'm doing ... will be out with some people that KNOW how to fish this coming week with fly rods.

 

I couldn't stand it .. had to go try TODAY !!

 

Had 6 strikes on the popper .. didn't get the hook set quick enough OR the fish was too small to take it.

 

Who cares ? I had FUN !!!

 

Now, who's the one HOOKED ???? LOL !!
