FishAholic85 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2010 pike flies please tips I like tying a few different patterns for pike. here are a few I like to tie, they are: - 3-4" 2/0 perch patterns (Fly tiers Dungeon has a material called water silk I think, that works great for these patterns) - Pike/Bunny leeches 4-12" long. (White/Red, Chart./White, Pink/black) - Dahlberg Diver (they can get the heart going) Just remember that Zap-a-Gap is a pike fly's best friend! And don't cheap out on using it. Pike can turn a crap tied fly to nothing in a few shakes of its toothy face. Once you catch a 20lb.+ pike on a fly rod there is no turning back.
