muskymags 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2010 Hot Glue and Epoxy bodied minnows are great panfish slayers in my waters. This one has Crappie Killer written all over it, MM! Thats exactly what I made it for. When the Crappies are up shallow under docks and such, they just smoke it. I bought a pack of colored mylar twist ties from the hobby shop and they make great body wraps. I made red ones, blue, green, gold and they all work very well and of coarse extremely durable. Bass love to nail them also.
BigDaddyHub 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2010 You're right about the bass...have taken many nice shoal, smallmouth, and Kentucky Bass quick strippin' 'em up a riffle, especially in the deep channels of runs....nice submission to the warmwater database, MM. bigfoot 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2011 Great looking fly. I would like to tie some of these up but I have never used hot glue when tying. If anybody could give me some direction on how to ties these I would greatly appreciate it. :yahoo:
bigfoot 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2011 I am wanting to tie a few of these up but I have never used hot glue for tying. Do you use the hot glue first to form the body then epoxy over the glue? Any help would be great thanks. :yahoo:
