Fly Tying

Some of my "custom" patterns.

Recommended Posts

Well experimentation over the years has landed plenty of salmon using these types of flies.

The links contain pictures to my website showing how I tie them, kinda like a guide for new fly tiers. Since when I started tying I was copying commercial flies and I had no books or did not look online, so step by step might help someone.

I'd have to say those last two are first flies I have ever seen where the lead was not covered up with a body material. Interesting take but I'm sure they'll catch fish. The Egg Sucking leech is a great pattern, one of my go to Steelhead flies.
