Mice 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 Hi I tied two small spey flies with flat wing. First is for steelhead and second .... I don't know. First fly I tied on Partridge Salar #7 and second on TMC 202 #8. Paul
Houndog 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 Nice ties Paul I would have no problem trying the second one for Atlantic Salmon or even Brook Trout around here.
btrout 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2010 Both nice ties, I think the second fly would work for Cutthroats here on the west coast.

CreationBear 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2010 Outstanding looking flies--any chance you could give the recipe for the second one? Tennessee isn't the heart of "spey country" by any means, but I'd like a few in my box, if only to admire.
Petros 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2010 Both are nice. The second fly beauty natural colors killer.

yellow bomber 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2010 Do you actually fish these or are they just for show? Very nice ties
Mice 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2010 I like steelhead and spey flies. I dont fish with them only because there are no steelheads and very few atlantic salmon in our rivers. I used spey flies in Mongolia. Natural colors were ok. I hope that in short time I will go for steelhead. Canada I think.
