I fish with nymphs most of the time unless the trout are really keying in on a hatch and then I can't resist a dry.

Here's my favorite search pattern. I didn't tie the one in the picture. It catches fish like no other.

The one that catches fish! Cliche, but true.

I'll almost always start with one of my favorite nymphs, Copper Johns , Golden Stones, and Birds Nests. But I won't hesitate to add emergers, terrestrials or go to a Hopper/Copper/dropper if need be.

If fishing Salt - mostly for perch/Stripers here in the Bay Area, it's usually a perch attractor led by a Chartreuse/White Clouser.

Panfish - Gill Getter ALWAYS goes on the line always, followed by any number of streamers, nymphs,.......etc...

hmmmm I guess I really don't have a favorite :lol2:

Ever since I tied my first Adams I've been hooked on drys. Plus the fish here seem to like them but I do tie other styles, but the drys are first right now.
