Thread: Benecchi 12/0, olive

Abdomen: Flashabou strand, opal - wrapped flat over bare shank

Rib: Flashabou strand - corded

Thorax: Argentinean hare, olive - in split thread

When you say the dubbing is in 'split thread' I assume that means you are splitting the thread and using it like a dubbing loop? Sorry if that a stupid question, but I'm pretty new to this.

Correct. Thread is untwisted/flattened, split, dubbing inserted, and then thread is spun tight again to trap the material.

Well it may be tied for a certain body of water but i am going to be using that fly on some of my native trout streams up here in the north Georgia mountains Nice Fly man :ph34r:
