BeginnerFlyTyer 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 Going steelhead fly fishing in northern ohio next week does anyone know what there hitting?
RagingBull 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 Not sure what they are hitting on at the moment. I normally dont fish steelhead once the creeks freeze over however i have always had luck on egg patterns. Sucker spawns, crystal meth and milking eggs tend to work every time im up there. It wouldnt hurt to throw a couple clousers or thunder creeks either. Good luck and tight lines.

Blackriverbowyer 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 we wont be fishing for a few weeks here sorry to say most of the rivers are still in flood stage and a few dams have either broke or threating to. Keep an eye on the charts. What river are you looking at fishing?

Bruce Derington 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2011 You failed to mention how you plan on fishing, I mean spawn sacs work well, bottom bounced or under a float, but what they have already stated, the typical stuff works very well after ice out
