MWl 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2011 Nice tie, good job on the body. Is that a quill? MWL
Slate_Drake_9 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2011 Nice tie. Probably best fished on top of rocks to match the naturals.
Johny Utah 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2011 Nice tie. Some actually do emerge on land as stone flies do. But the others float on top.
INS 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2011  Nice fishing fly. It looks like a workhorse.
flytyman1 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2014 The body is grey thread overwrapped with narrow strip of vinyl cut from a disposable vinyl glove. This gives the body a translucent look. The tail is z-lon burned at end to create a tailing shuck. The wings are dun CDC and the legs are dark grey goose biots. Finish head/thorax with grey dubbing. The fly is very durable and deadly when fished in tandem with a generic nymph pattern.
