SWAP IS CLOSED

post-14558-1301350434_thumb.jpg

It used to seem like there were only parachute mayfly immitations, now there is everything from a parahopper (a personal favorite) to parachute ants. I am a sucker for any pattern with a parachute because it usually sits low in the water and is easy to see. So lets see some of your favorite para-patterns

Standard rules apply. Any pattern with a parachute post. Tie 12 flies (you won't get one of your own back)

Due Date Monday May 9th

First 12 with I'm in

Johnny Welcome

I love the BWO, what size are you thinking? I hardly ever think smaller than 18, but I know some people fish a little bit bigger. Usually here in colorado when the BWOs are bigger there seems to be something else a little more visible coming off the water as well.

I mean... a hares ear, like I said. I have never done the dry fly thing with the hares ear, figured it would sink after a few fish. I will be excited to try it.

What part of Utah? I have some roots back there, so I always ask.

Sorry for the change. I figured i would let some one else tie it. Around here they start off at 16s to 18s, then go to 18s-22s.

Hare fur floats great. it absorbs floatant. ;) .

Im not from Utah. :P

Polarbear welcome... The old standby. One of my favorites

Johny sounds good on the BWO and the hares ear. Just assumed on the Utah thing. Sure are a LOT of places to fish in Utah, wouldn't be a bad place to be from.

Never tied a parachute style fly. But I'm willing to give it a shot with a Klinkhammer figure size 18

Welcome Rich... Be careful once you go down the parachute road you try to add a wing post and a horizontal hackle to every fly :) :).

IBRB good to see you, I have always enjoyed having you in my swaps. Used to be I would host a swap and all of California joined in. Looking forward to the caddis. I saw a Skip Morris parachute caddis that I have thought about tying up a number of times, but I always just fall back to my x-caddis and the lime trudes.

Flon... just started fishing a parachute misquito on some of the stillwaters I fish. Always seem to catch a fish or 2

Welcome both of you.
