I wouldn't think that the water temps will be in the 70's there in late May, maybe though. Here in Maine, water temps are still pretty low in late May.

That's the link where i found the idea for the pattern, i just copied it, used super glue for the head, then eyes and then epoxy. Thanks guys

good stuff, thanks for the link. It's funny, I was just watching a video of Jon Rohmer tying the diamond hair minnow. Never thought to do it with Congo Hair or Flashblend, looks like it works well.

water temp isn't going to be to warm end of may in michigan I like badfishrising fish mid mornings around heavy cover also if your targeting huge pike find an area where ducks are bringing in their babies to water and fish big headed slidders in brown or yellow

Just be ready with the pike because alot of time they are going to take it right next to the boat. Do not be in a hurry to yank for another cast, in fact bring your line close to to you, then work it back out. Good luck!

cool well let me know when you are in town. I only live about 15-20 minutes from lapeer. I ll take you out one day if you like small mouth fishing we can hit up the flint river about every other cast you can land a smallie, or if you have a 9-10wt we can get you hooked on some carp that will test your might.
