professori 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2011 Bummer - I'm fresh out of dried eel skin... Yea me too. I wouldnt even know were to buy that.. Probably because of my age, but I remember when "eel skin" was a slang term for a certain item of birth control. Pink ones make a great worm fly. rockworm 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 I don't know about creative, but your fly's name certainly describes the beast.

rockworm 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 A Pink Parachute Indicator Post is a truly amazing new appendage! I have no trouble accepting this as a necessary adaptation for the newly-evolved parachute hackle. But I worry what future transformations might do to this innocent protuberance! (You don't think this has anything to do with professori's scandalous pink eel skin do you?)
Dezod 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 I had to figure that all nymphs eventually evolved into dry flies C

Flytyer14 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 My Pattern is: hooks size 14 gray hackle fibers gray tying thread (can i use dubbing I don't have gray thread) Grizzly parachute hackle Gray dubbing as thorax NAME: The gray Wonder
rockworm 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2011 14 In my opinion dubbing would be better than thread for a dry fly as big as #14. What are you using for the post?
