Lititz Run, Lancaster PA 5/19/2011

Recommended Posts

I had a great day fishing yesterday on Lititz Run. It is a spring creek that has been restored and continues to be worked on. It is a stream that has suffered some major chemical polution and had also been subject to a lot of farm run off. We have had a lot of heavy rain lately and the stream on Tuesday was hi and looked like chocolate. Till Wednesday morning it was hi but clear. So it was fishable. Great for fishing streamers! Couple of the other people did a lot better than I did as far as quantities but I caught two real nice brookies. The biggest being a 16" brute. Here is a pic of that fish. wish I could get to this stream more often but was great to get out fishing again.

I know exactly what stream that is! I have always passed it when my family and I go for a day trip (I'm about 2 hours from there) I always see it and want to fish it, but never get a chance. Love the Wilbur chocolate too.
