TheCream 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 Looks normal on the outside, just like the rest of these I have done: But inside are 2 large glass rattles: I purposely mounted them towards the rear of the hook to help this pattern rest a little more "butt down" in the water, can't wait to give it a shot. I plan to try it after dark for bass on a night outing.

TheCream 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 I plan to tye up the other one you did. Keep us posted on how the change worked. Kevin If it's the articulated one, I still have some hit-and-miss issues with small fish on that one. Fish over 10-12" seem to get the hook A-OK, those little guys barely bigger than the fly that have a bad attitude are hard to hook.
bluegill576 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 That looks like a nice fly. I think I'll be tying those up soon.

dafunk5446 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2011 Fantastic fly, I rarely fish topwater stuff, but I will make sure to give this one a try.
TheCream 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2011 I have fished this pattern a couple times, got decent results. It's obviously a little heavier than the non-rattling version but still casts well. Those rattles are really loud, too. The strikes I have had were pretty violent!
