The spot to fish them is on a river bend in a small town. On this bend the city park and bridges have many lights that attract baitfish and the Gar follow. Due to large mayfly infestations, the town keeps the lights off now to avoid the swarms. Its about a 3 hour drive for me and I only saw 2 Gar with my headlamp and didn't have shots.
