JSzymczyk 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2011 that's an interesting pattern. You say to use a kink shank popper hook to "(make eyes protrude less from the hook.)" Eyes protruding off the bottom of the pattern are what make a Clouser Deep Minnow ride correctly with the hook point up. Why don't you want the eyes protruding? bluegill576 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2011 They still protrude a little so it rides correctly but I think that if the eyes are more in te body it looks more natural. Also it is a lot easier to put them on with the kink shank and they stay on the hook shank without rotating that much compared to a normal hook. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
