ok see i got a bunch of real sheep wool ...i have all the other dubbing stuff(rabbit,squrial,ect)i am just wondering about it has anyone else used it ...do you like it ?..or should it go in the round file ..before i ever git going on it

I love the stuff. I get it in big bags. Dye my own colors and mix it with other stuff. If you decide to get rid of it PM me i'll take it.

Wool has numerous uses in fly tying. It can be cut and stacked just like deer hair (Dave Whitlock's Woolhead Leech). It can also be spun, but with a little more effort. It makes a great head for bass-type submerged flies as it absorbs water making it easy to get them to sink.

Bob pop has a series of wool flies that he coats with silicone that cast like bullets when wet.

I made a bunch, they can be shaped to look like surf plugs and you can stagger colors similar to stacked deer hair. Check out his book for more details.
