FlyFishin'Jam 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2013 UH OH it's that time of year... Plump Browns Chinooks a-go-go, this one had a cute blue tinge to his fins and ripped backing nearly back to the lake. Smoking on a spey. The swing is the thing. Chinook head, so guys treat them with respect, don't break off or foul too many, a swung fly works wonders. Just disappointed at the center pin dudes at the moment running very light line and flossing with tiny eggs and line that is farrrr to light, then just breaking off about 20 fish, leaving them covered in eggs. Run heavy gear to minimize stress.
fdavis 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2013 Hey All. Just had a look through the posts of fish pics. Some very nice fish. Not much tropical stuff though so I figured I'd post the photo report from our March Farquhar trip. It's a few months old but the fish are still good : March Farquhar Trip

mikechell 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 I know there are some pretty trout, and I don't try to take away from that, but the Long Eared Sunfish is downright beautiful. I caught a bunch of these today and this is the largest one, also my personal best for this species. I've got to get some close ups of the sides. Almost every one is a slightly different color. It doesn't come out as well on the downsized pictures for the site, but these fish are gorgeous.

C LeBo 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2013 Finally got to go out trout fishing after a lousy warm water summer! Hiked a little farther down my favorite creek than usual but it paid off with 16 fish total with fishing nymphs deep in the larger pools. Smallmouth were hitting as well. Crap load of pictures!! Enjoy! Thank You and Tight Lines, Carson LeBoeuf
Istripbuggers 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 Cool looking spot Carson all those granite slabs make me think you where in the foothills somewhere, may I ask the name of the creek?
C LeBo 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2013 Cool looking spot Carson all those granite slabs make me think you where in the foothills somewhere, may I ask the name of the creek? Thank you, sir! You are quite right with it being in the foothills, and it's name is Stevenson Creek, but they're are several of those in California so it's the one by Shaver lake and the San Joauquin.
