Mark Knapp 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2020 Had a pet gar when I was in high school, named Schnidley Whiplash because of the way they hunt. Nice video Mike, nice water. That's one of the reasons I like to fish, you never know what you're going to get. You know, like a box of chocolates. Are the peacock bass in your waters yet? mikechell 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2020 No, Mark ... we're too far north. There are many tropical fish that have "invaded/established" in the southern Florida waterways. Only the Blue Tilapia and Plecostamus have survived the winters here. Although it never freezes or anything hellish like that, the water does get cold enough to kill off tropical species.
