That was the biggest of the day, and the only one to fall for a dry, gray adams, #16

@DFoster, very nice fish.

I'm assuming you mean just below the Big Lady?  Its been a crazy, Covid-19 fueled summer on that part of the river, and the higher water level has allowed the kayak hatch to creep further north.

Pretty little rainbow from a Smokys trip earlier this month.  Ended up being my one and only trout of the year.  Spent the rest of the time playing guide to my father and wife.  He managed one rainbow before Hurricane Sally ruined his trip by swinging east.  She had a slightly nicer rainbow in the shallows before tangling her rod tip in a low hanging tree.  A fun trip nonetheless.

Caught a few different panfish tonight, including my first crappie on the fly.

Nice Peartree.  I love fly fishing for panfish when I don't have the time to get all gussied up for stream fishing.  What did the crappie take?

Got him on a small orange popper.  There’s  a canal that runs through the property I live/work at, that has a ton of different fish in it and it is just a short walk from the house.

Slow work week, so yesterday I took the afternoon off to visit my local tailwater.  A near perfect fall day in New England, few things are as beautiful as a brook trout in spawning colors.

The prettiest of a few brookies after work today, taken on an the olive spider (dropper), in the shadows of the ruins of the Boston Duck Company.
