Flat Rock native 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2017 Best trutta for good looks on this planet.. Keep posting, if you have scenery pictures where these were caught, I bet the watershed is awesome. Finis Mitchell made sure we have them here in Wyoming, too. They live in places of sheer beauty.. Thank you...

Fisherboy0301 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2017 My first, and only, trout so far. A wild rainbow from the Chattahoochee National Forest. Slammed an oversized EHC I tied.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2017 Just more of me catching little ones on the St. Johns River. I only had one battery for the GoPro, since I forgot the others at home.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2017 Well, two things this morning ... one rare, the other even less likely. First thing ... I didn't get a single hit. Even the gar I saw didn't swipe at anything I threw. Not one bump in 5 hours of fishing. Second ... and the reason I think the fish were "off their feed" ... the St. Johns River is flowing backward. I knew the river was low, about 3 feet lower than normal and 5 feet or so lower than the highest I've ever fished it. But I didn't know it could get low enough for water to flow backward. On the 30th, I was fishing a couple miles farther upstream, and it was slow, but still flowing in the correct direction. We need rain ... a LOT of rain. Bimini15 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2017 Just heard a report yesterday saying just that. The concern was that we are still a good couple of months away from the rainy season.

Almost 4 fish & 2 on & lost in 1.5hrs was fun! Fish were 86cm, 80cm?, 76cm & 75cm! No monsters +1metre! Next time?😀
