Piker20 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2013 Had a difficult week in Orkney. Rose fish without them sticking or walked away with locals shaking their heads at how poor the lochs were fishing (not just me then)

mikechell 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2013 Went out on Puzzle Lake today. It's a pretty part of the St. Johns River, nothing but reeds, weeds and channels. Caught one bass on a topwater popper. But nothing else would hit it, so I went to my grass shrimp fly and started catching all kinds of fish. I caught one crappie ... not big enough to keep. I think this is a mullet. I've never caught one before, but they jump all over the place. I caught about 20 bream ... kept 10. Here's a sampling. I love the different colors of the Coppernose. DryFlies4Life 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2013 Took this beautiful rainbow on a size 8 Stonefly nymph, a little late for that, but he ate it right up. This one took a size 10 stimulator. Really cool watch him rise as i caught him in slack water, a rare occurrence on my local rivers.

FlyFishin Fool 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2013 went up to Chalk Creek south of Buena Vista, CO last weekend. Did a bunch of research before I went and caught a bunch of brook trout on a yellow humpy size 18. It was the hot ticket for the weekend. Three days of camping and fishing was amazing.
