Rabid Dog

When I first seen the photos my first thought was a Zara Spook too. A Zara Spook fly!! "The Dietrich Flook"

Thanks for the instructions.

...i rekon tho the buoyancy in salt may be a little more than in fresh so weight to your fishing conditions?

You might be right; if it floats to high, it won't dip under and get crazy. You may have to get a glass of slatwater to test it. Check out my Database entry where I wrote some instructions. Although, a flourocarbon leader/tippet may be enough to pull it under, which is what you are striving for.

Damn, you're killing me! I like it and will use as a "go-by" for doing a few Rabid Shrimp Dogs.

Bloop, it don't really "walk the dog" like a Zara on the surface, its effectiveness seems to come from its erratic behavior below the surface like a rapid dog. I do like Dietrich's Flook though a Fly/Spook I wish I would have conferred with you a week ago.

Thanks,

Kirk
