Gene L 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2012 My Renetti Maste has nver slipped a hook, when propely adjusted. I don't tie the huge, saltwater flies on it, so it that's an issue, notone I'm familiar with.
cruzfly89 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2012 sorry i kinda went off topic, it is about the weight and a solid base. which the renzetti master vice is very heavy and solid. i was gonna buy it until i tied on one and maybe it was just that vice, but the holding power of that vice on a bigger hook totally turned me away from it. When you spend that kinda money on something you expect a superior product in every aspect.
blakejd 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2012 No one has mentioned a Peak vise Base. Its the heaviest I have found. I use it with both my peak and my HMH. I have no troubles with it when tying large streamers or deer hair spinning.
