April 2012 : Flies from the Vise

Recommended Posts

Some more flies. I picked up some 4/0 hooks over the weekend and wanted to try them out.

I am not sure about the pink/blue one, but I had some real nice pink and blue bucktail pieces so I used them.

Not sure if I will be able to cast these with the 8wt or not.

Sorry for the giant image, but that's one of the clousers I tied before, the pike loved it, as betrayed by it bedraggled appearance xD

Hey guys, getting back into tying after a long hiatus. Here's a few I've tied in the last couple of weeks:

Hope you enjoy.

Hell if thats you from a Hiatus I'd take another break! Great flies. Fancy signing up to the April 2012 swap club???

Simon, Like the caddis. Thats the second fly I've seen on here with the organza body. It produces a good effect. I'll keep my eyes open for some when wifes next in craft store.

Thanks,

I always get really gung ho when I come back to a hobby.

Here's a few more from tonight:

Just trying some little size 8 wet flies for west coast salmon, fishing stuff, pretty messy work so far but it is a start!

Can i give them silly names like Guacamole Goat Face and stuff?

Do like this idea of adding where the particular pattern will be fished - nice one planettrout.
