Wow, that is both harsh and ridiculous at the same time. Yes, I am a collector and I will decide what I collect thank you. I didn't "speak for" collectors, I wrote that a collector might feel different. I didn't know that I needed to be pre-qualified to make such an obvious observation. Could you explain what qualified you to speak for everyone on the planet when you stated that it would be overpriced? The value of a collectible is always higher than the objects intrinsic value. It is simple supply and demand. I have not seen this vice in recent years for less that $300-400 in used condition (let me know where you found it for $135). Throw in the tools, some of which are impossible to find, and you can easily double those numbers, now take into account that it is in near new condition. You can see how the price could be $1000-1200. If what you are trying to say is that a vice by a different manufacturer of similar quality on the shelf at the fly shop is not worth $1200, you would probably be correct. Guest Report post Posted April 13, 2012 Flyfishing 99 - Even if they wouldn't let him delist it he should be able to change the price, or tell ebay he made a mistake on the price and they needed to over ride to change it, although Ebay is getting to be a real PITA!!!! flyfishing99 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2012 Gene, I am a collector. I owned the vise, third hand base and stackers. I found it to be a really nice vise. I particularly liked the shape of the jaws which allowed such access!! I would think the whole setup is probably worth well over 750.
