got to spin some deer hair today

VERY NICE WORK! With respect to the frog, you might want to trim the bottom flatter and closer to the hook shank to ensure that it will float upright, and not rollover on it's side or back on the water. It is supposedly the hook shank that serves as the ballast to get such bugs to float upright.

thanks for all the nice comments guys. trying to get back into the swing of things with the deer hair. I agree after looking at the frog it needs to be trimmed closer and packed a little tighter

I would say bulk up the tail on the frog with some marabou or hackle, something to make it more proportional.
