There was a fly in Lefty's original SW pattern book called a "fender fly" that was nearly identical, but it required so many complicated steps that I never bothered trying to tie one. The Fisheadz ought to make it a snap. I checked them out the Deer Creek site, and the one they have pictured is very similar in appearance to jigs that the saltwater crowd used to call "Japanese Feathers." They were deadly on striped bass, and a lot of modern tuna/billfish lures are modeled after them. The originals had tin or lead heads. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
