This is a prince nymph/pheasant tail creation i came up with while tying red caddis larva flies and prince nymphs. i am not good at recipes so bear with me

hook-standard nymph size 14

head-3/32 gold bead

thread-olive

tail- (2) white biot fibers

body-red vinyl ribbing tightly wound

body- lead wire weighted and (2)peacock fibers

wings-(2) white biot fibers

you can weight the whole fly and get a heavier thicker flie just wrap the ribbing on top. i like to cover the whole hook under the translucent ribbing with the thread for a different look. Also you can use other colors for the body as well but red is my most effective color. Brown was second best.

this fly is best fished under a pheasant tail or hares ear. it can be fished alone but i have the best luck with it as a dropper. I caught 25 on a stream that was stocked a week and a half ago. yet to catch a golden rainbow with this patern but have caught ton of brook bron and rainbows with it. pm me for me details if you would like. Enjoy and good luck tying this trout killer.
