Jordon W 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2012 Walked into my local fly shop today looking for a pair of breathable waders and now im faced with $150 DB barebones or $300 Simm headwaters. I tried both of them on and liked the fit of both of them, the issue im having is do I save $150 on the Db and hope they last or do I buy the simms? I've heard good and bad about both companies warranty. A little background is I fish 3-4 days/wk in the summer and just cant wear neoprene anymore in the summer heat. One large concern is fishing so much is they will wear quickly. Please any input would be great!
Bucket 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2012 I have had the Simms Headwaters for about 2 years now. Fished in them in all 4 Seasons (in North Carolina). They have been great. No tears or leaks. They are pretty lightweight. The clips on the straps are pretty nice as well. Fishing in neoprene during the Summer is a sweat-fest.
