Kirk Dietrich 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2012 My dad got me my first fly rod in the mid 1970's. It was a yellow/orange colored fiberglass blank, maybe just yellow. I think he got it from Sears and Roebuck but maybe not. Anyone have any idea what the maker was or model of the rod? I'd like to start keeping an eye out for one to replace it since it broke in the early 1908's. Kirk
bigfoot 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2012 I think heddon made rods for sears. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure I read that somewhere. My 2 cents BF A rod made from 1908 I have no clue LOL

Kirk Dietrich 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2012 Eagle Claw and Heddon sound like the kind of rods that would have been in my dad's price range back then. I did a little research and it seems Heddon made a ton of models so I doubt I'll be able to find exactly the rod I had but I may just keep an eye out on ebay to see what comes up; if its cheap, its likely close to what I had. Any other ideas and comments still welcome. Thanks, Kirk
buggybob 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2012 Lamiglass and Fenwick both made rods in that color back in those days. Lamiglas looked more like a honey color and Fenwicks was more yellow.
