Canon T2i w/18-55mm EFS Lens and macro tubes, hand held

Cute skipper! Invest in a tripod and you can really get the most out of that lens.

Have a tripod, but this little guy just showed up in the flower box while I was sitting there, so I yelled "Work with me! Work with me!" and took a couple of shots. I put him in a small plastic box in the freezer to slow him down. Next I'll set up the tripod and "studio".

Chase-

Great photo images. I've found that depth of field, and focus, is always an issue in macro, even with a Canon 100mm macro lens.

Great use of lighting by the way, especially on that fourth image.

Very nice! Small aperture and lots of light are key to getting any depth of field when you get up close like this. Are you using your highest f-stop?
