Testacleeze 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2012 These Pompano flies are beautiful. I cant wait to tie my own horribly inadequate versions and give the pomps a try in the next few weeks. Some really great work on this site! Ryan
TallBob 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2015 As a first timer in Destin Florida, February/March 2015 could use some help for flies that might yield a pompano and/or redfish from the surf. Being from Maine and the horrible winter there so far, I thought I might be able to warm my buddies hearts with a picture or 2. I have a 9', 9wt rod ready to go Thanks for any pointers you fellows might have.

utyer 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2015 Here is an easy mole crab that I tie. Its just a tan dubbing mix, from the under fur of craft fur, and then craft fur for the back. Then I coat the top with fabric paint (clear with pearlescent flecks. Don't know yet if it will work.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2015 It looks like one of those "sand fleas". Are those the same things as Mole Crabs? I was once told that fish go crazy for sand fleas ... so that thing should get all kinds of hits.
