mikechell 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2012 Okay, I was on the St. John's River yesterday, and I saw a bunch of these worms chewing on the lily pads. They just eat the top layer, so the water doesn't come through and drown them. I here bluegill smacking the pads, but I can't get a strike. I tried hooking one of the worms, but it just flipped off the first cast ... I gotta try tying some of these. What are you using for the colors? It's an exact match! My only suggestion is to tie them on a Kahle hook ... you should see the little worms wiggle when they fall in the water. Oh, and they float very well on top but once they get knocked under the surface tension, they have a hard time punching back through it to float on top again.
