176319 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2012 Hay guys I'm wondering if any of you have made a website for fishing stuff. If you do post a link and I'll check it out. P.S. I have made a website it is- http://wildriverlures.webs.com
rockworm 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2012 Kieran, you have a nicely organized website. Now comes the hard part- populating it! I set up my site several years ago, but have neglected it badly in recent years. Mine isn't as polished as yours, but everything was built by myself from scratch. http://www.fishermonk.com

bigdewy 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2012 Lots of great stuff on your blog Flytire!! I barely scratched the surface and already picked up a couple of new patterns. Internet Explorer wouldn't let me get to Rockworm's site, don't know what's up with that? 176319, looks like you've got a good start.
FlyFishin'Jam 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2012 Hi everyone, not my own website but my wife just finished building this!!! Launched on Friday. Total rebuild of the site. http://www.canadasflyfishingoutfitter.com/ Some great features, if you 'sign up' you get access to all the fishing maps with pools, access, and information labelled. A chance to win $50 every month just by uploading your fishing photos. There is a lot of content here, travel, hatch charts etc etc. The webstore as we speak is being properly filled with inventory. If anyone has time for a browse, let us know what you think. And if anyone needs some nerds to code and do design let us know.
netabrookie 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2012 WOW!!! There is some really nice sites/blogs (still not sure what "blog" means) listed here. I hope to eventually get a site so I can get rid of a few flies to a few people in need. I need to learn a lot more about computers before I do because I can't maintain something that I know little about. rockworm, I really need to brush up on my Latin because I thought I was doing ok until I hit the questions about the species and I just keep getting it all confused. I was half awake (good excuse) and missed a couple just because I wasn't paying attention but really enjoyed the quiz. Thanks for everyone sharing these and keep them coming please because Im running out of things to look at and read about...
rockworm 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2012 netabrookie A "blog" is a log that one posts online so that others can read/enjoy/contribute to.... a web log. Hence the name. I am pleased you tried out my little quiz. How did you score?
netabrookie 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2012 rockworm, I can't remember the exact score but think it was only 66 or 68 percent. I hate to admit it to you, but I missed the "rockworm" question. I would like to try it again when I haven't been up all night looking at the meteor shower. The Latin will still throw me (I still haven't mastered English after 49 years) but hope to not make some stupid mistakes..... Take Care...

rockworm 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 17... When I said you need to populate your site I didn't mean with people! I meant data and stuff. You need to fill it with pertinent links, amusing stories, useful information, beautiful pictures, helpful facts, tables, ... Thats what makes the site unique and valuable. P.G. Beckett 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 Think of it this way- Some mistakes in tying flies can really pay off in catching fish; meanwhile typos only catch attention of people like me who have the same problem. (I should know; I'm putting my book together and I have a friend who has to proof read it continually)

Nate 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2012 Here is mine that I recently started...sort of a showcase of past work and a forum to sell a rod here and there to fund my hobby. stik-n-string.webs.com Just started populating it with pictures. More will be added as I build more rods...I have four in the works right now.
