Peterjay 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2012 Not a fly, but if you live near the ocean and remember this one, you're probably spending more time in a rocking chair than on the water. tidewaterfly 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2012 Great thread. I still have a couple packs of that old Ligas & Hareline dubbing around here. Also have a couple of those Herter's bobbins. How about a Chase bobbin! First bobbin type I used. Have a couple of those too & still occasionally use them. I am also the proud owner of one of those tin spoons, sent to me by the world famous Peter Jacobson!

I used to use the small removable tube to tie nail knots and lost it at some point.
Jaydub 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2012 So far, I think perchjerker's Tiger and mvendon's feathers win the prizes for cool old stuff. I like the tin spoons too.
Jaydub 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2012 Size A Nymo was recommended by Polly Rosborough. It was flat and fairly strong, sort of like a slightly larger version of Danville Monocord.
