Traditional Wet Fly Swap?

In the mail - don't know when they are in the USA, but usually in a few days.

 

And by the way - i tied some "Blody Butchers" for you. smile.png

Thread: White UTC 70 den. for body, Black Uni 8/0 for head

Tail: White schlappen barbs

Body: Orange wool yarn

Rib: flat silver tinsel

Throat: Furnace

Wing: Duck quill, orange, natural dark dun, and white

Ostfyn's bloody butchers were in the mail, i want to say thankyou to everyone for contributing to this swap making it great. Also we had no drop outs! Every tyer is accounted for, the wife works tomorrow night so i will sort the flies then and have them out on Friday!

Here they are, a set anyone looking to fish with wets would love to have! Cant wait to swing these this spring, thanks again to all participants! They went out in todays mail so be watching for them, and please let me know when you receive them!

Same with some brownies. Look a great set. Not sure id be ready just yet for another wet wing swap but give it a few months. Really enjoyed tying 'proper' flies.

Yeah i go through a wet fly phase every winter it seems like, still messing with them but soon it will be time to start tying for warm weather.

A great bunch of flies in my mailbox this afternoon. Thanks Evan for hosting such a great swap. Thanks to all the swappers for some beautiful flies, some of which are almost too pretty to fish. I can't wait to get these babies wet.cool.png

Ditto, and double ditto! Mine came today and I'm anxious to use them. Right now they'd actually be dry flies because we've had single-digit temps for the past 3 weeks an everything is frozen over!
