riffleriversteelheadslayer 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 started my friends Christmas present tonight he and I fish brookies together so the first dozen are Annie's midges in size 18 and 16 half a dozen each size the pink bead seams to attract the brookies better on clear days
T_Bone 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 So here are some I threw together today. Remember I have only been at it about a year or so. Their not perfect, but I think they'll catch some fish. T~ Well most were today but two were from a week ago.
riffleriversteelheadslayer 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 T_Bone your stonefly nymph and the Hornberg are very impressive great tying all the way around but them two are the ones that stand out for me you have definitely shortened the learning curve
T_Bone 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 T_Bone your stonefly nymph and the Hornberg are very impressive great tying all the way around but them two are the ones that stand out for me you have definitely shortened the learning curve Thank you! The stone fly is a pattern I saw a friend had tied once. I only saw it in his box, but I was certain I could mimic it. This was the second one. The first looked like an anorexic version so I only posted this one. I was really impressed with the black ghost. It isn't a hard fly to tie, but I did it pretty small and it still looks pretty darn proportionate. Thanks again! T~
riffleriversteelheadslayer 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2012 I like the ghost but the throat is a little to sparse for my tastes
