FlyFishin'Jam 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2012 Thanks guys, your words are too kind Usually one gets banned after messing around such an all time favorite and classic as Muddler Minnow But, when you start, you kinda cannot stop, can you for real? Two variations of an old classic - Muddler Minnow gets Fish Skulled. great stuff indeed! Oh with the second variation is that a hackle before the skull goes on? Just goes to show you can probably fish skull anything.
Simon Lidster 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2012 A Wally winged dry fly. Cheers, C. Oh you little beauty!!! How do you get your Wally wings to stand so parrallel? Mine always seem to want to wander! Simon
Crackaig 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2012 Simon, brute force and ignorance! These wanted to wander I simply used my thumb nail to roll them into position then twisted them to get the set right, and locked them in place with a few wraps. Remember there are two factors, position and set. Get the position right before trying to get the set of the wings right. Cheers, C.

Deer hair in both variations, stacked before tying.

Piker20 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2012 Wavey - Very nice Spider. Good lookin' body. (Last time I said that, I got slapped) Is that Mole? I agree although why the ladies don't like us complimenting their spider is beyond me.
Wavey1988 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2012 Thanks Chase and Piker! Last time I complemented a girls spider, I woke up in A&E. They're really rough around here... And chase, it's actually hares ear, used in a dubbing loop really, really sparingly

lykos33 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2012 rolsen.....these flies you have been posting would look soooooooo nice in the database Especially when I want to find them to try my hand at them I may not do them justice, but with a picture and a recipe I at least have a fighting chance Lot's o' great work being posted by everyone lately. It's nice to see folks posting every month what they have tied, whether they are regular contributors or newbies Murray Thingamabob (rough draft)
