Spinner Flies For Panfishing!

Recommended Posts

Hey Flytier....where do you get your small propellers? My small supply from Herters many years ago is almost depleted.

There's an Ebay seller who has some listed in different sizes. I saw some of them today. Sells by the name of carolinanoveltymfgco. Don't know how prices compare however.

Ya know, this has got me thinking about spinners on false albacore flies. Those rascals come and go so fast that anything that catches their attention would be welcome. Fished on a slow drift in current, it just might work. It might also get me some funny looks, but I'm used to that. .

Peterjay- try placeing a "colorado" or a willow leaf blade on the tailend of your streamer. Called a "Fliptail"?

Actually, I've seen that done, though not lately. That'd be fun to try - no reason why it wouldn't work. There are still some custom luremakers who use "flaptails" on their saltwater plugs. They're supposed to be very effective.
