utyer 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 Brings back memories. I think I saw "Uncle Ken" tying one time back in the 60s at Wolff's Sporting Goods. Of course, I don't remember too much about the 60s, but I learned a lot from watching "Uncle Ken." Been trying to un-learn it ever since. Great thread work, I have long said, you can't learn to tie flies if you don't learn to use thread.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 Excellent use of regular sewing scissors. I kind of liked the fly until he messed up the wings putting the hackle on. LOL
Fish For Life 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2013 Hehe nice. is he trying to be like that or is he actually trying.

mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2013 I just watched it again. You know what's really scary ... it probably would catch a fish.

FrequentTyer 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2013 That was full of good stuff, but all I could think was that Cooter must be an unusual looking dog.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2013 That was full of good stuff, but all I could think was that Cooter must be an unusual looking dog. You went there ... I was thinking ... "I can't duplicate that fly, since I am NOT gathering that particular material."

tctrout 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2013 You might get a kick out of this one... (or maybe not). Either way...here ya go! Seriously, that was great! I loved the "Eagle biots," plus the end when there was simply head cement applied to the thread. VERY FUNNY Curtis; thanks for sharing!
riffleriversteelheadslayer 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2013 great video I think that should be a mandatory watch for all new fly tyers
Roofish 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2013 I'm speechless, I too wonder "where's the eye?"
mikechell 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2013 You don't need an eye. Since this is such an awesome fish catcher, you just superglue it to the end of your leader.
