Green lacewing

I hesitate to suggest improvements. You clearly know what you are doing. For finer legs I would be tempted to use small insect pins as a foundation. (I am guessing you are wrapping thread over nylon?)

Correct! Its wrapped tread, but over a thin bronze wire.

I gonna try a new techcnic on my next fly, a mayfly (Vulgata). I find quite hard to get the right dimension/proporsion on each part, and get surprised each time when Its put together... Oooops a bit short wing, bodybuilder legs (Like the one in this topic) etc... Guess more tyers than just me know what Im talking about biggrin.png But its just practicing on the same kind of fly over and over again, and Im sure I will get there! If not Ill just go back into tying those Calssic Salmon flies...

(Badddd English; sorry)
