Phish 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2013 It looks like you getting better as you go and using less is still more. The 4th picture is the one you hit on all the bases and like that color to. I always use a lil black peacock color on the top for the perch color.

Chefben4 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2013 I love these baitfish Ben they are awesome Thanks Riff! Yep, love the first perch pattern. Great profile. Thanks Piker. I was going for the "kinky muddler" style fly. It looks like you getting better as you go and using less is still more. The 4th picture is the one you hit on all the bases and like that color to. I always use a lil black peacock color on the top for the perch color. Thanks Phish. In my case I was actually looking for bulk which isn't normally how people tie EP. These are going to be fished on full sink for spring PIke/Musky. The red/orange combo is deadly!! Good looking flies.Love them Thanks!
Phish 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2013 I put a little pink in between mine whenever I use red/orange. Yea its a good color when naturals are not working.
Peterjay 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2013 Great colors Ben. I love tying stuff that jumps out at you like that. They should look huge in the water; no self-respecting pike is gonna turn his nose up at a meal like that. Nice job.

Do you put the pink in as a lateral line or similar? Great colors Ben. I love tying stuff that jumps out at you like that. They should look huge in the water; no self-respecting pike is gonna turn his nose up at a meal like that. Nice job. Thanks PJ!
Phish 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2013 I use in the lateral line using 1/2 Pink EP 1/4 Pink Silky and 1/4 Pink Angel hair or Wing n Flash. Any thin flash materials will work to.

LeakyWaders 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2013 I'm just taking a guess here, but it looks like there is some with Congo Hair/EP fibers, as well as some SF Flash blend or something similar to that.
