Nose Bleed

Recommended Posts

Did you guys know that we fellas produce a specific hormone after 'seeding' that makes us drowsy. Prolactin is the big one and its been shown we produce twice the hormone if the seeding is with someone else as opposed to solo. So tell the wife she's your best cure for a good nights sleep. And its cheaper than pills.

Really, Piker? This cure is cheaper than pills? Flowers, dinner ... diamonds ....

I'll have to do some calculations to verify which is actually cheaper.

I didn't say "everytime". How many pills do you need to get over a problem? how much have you spent on the Wife? In the end, I am thinking the pills would have been MUCH cheaper.

Not that I am complaining (in case Wife is coming in here and reading things on the sly) I wouldn't give up my life for any other.

Just joking about cost and stuff ... really!

Mike, I guess you will have to spend MORE money, maybe prettier flowers and dinner at the nicest restaurant in town and if that don't work.......Piker did mention solo.......

You guys got me laughing so hard that I forgot to add my little bit of humor from todays doctor visit. I went, slipping and slidding in the ice and was really dreading what was to come. The staff was extremely nice and I got to sit in the cool looking chair in the exam room while I waited for the doctor. He was late because of the slick roads. After a brief introduction he got down to business and removed the packing....ouch!!!.. but it wasn't too bad. After numbing me he then did the chemical thing and burned the vessel that was leaking. After all of that he put his little scope-thing back in my nose and started asking how many times that I had broke my nose. The doctor spoke in a very soft voice, but the lady in the waiting room didn't so I could barely hear him. He said, as he moved the little gadget around in my nostril, "that I had a deviated septum and it looked like the Himalayan mountains". Just as he finished speaking, and the lady in the waiting room finished also, I said "excuse me" with a very dumb and confused look on my face.. I managed to hear "deviated" and "Himalayan mountains" but I thought that he said "rectum". I knew that he had this little gismo stuck fairly deep in my nose, but for a brief second it sounded like he had went a little too far. Its hell getting old and losing your hearing. The doctor was a really cool guy and somehow we wound up talking about fishing and we fish a few of the same creeks. I am taking him some flies at next weeks visit. He's a dry fly man.

Take Care, and I hope Mike gets out of the dog house...

Tony

Gives a whole new meaning to blowing out your ass! At least it explains that funny smell no one else is getting!

Seriously good to see it was nothing major and you've found a fishing buddy.

LOL Now that we've totally twisted this thread ...

Tony, glad to hear there's nothing major going on. Still, take care with the blood thinning meds ... don't need you bleeding out on a fishing trip. Chum is great, unless it's coming from a friend.

Now, about your new doctor/fishing buddy. He's seeing a deviated rectum through your nose, then going the other way will show him ? ... whatever you do, if he says he wants to look at your sinuses, do NOT bend over.

Tony, I just noticed this post now and hope that things are getting better. I experienced something like from the "outside looking in". I am a safety specialist and first responder for incidents. A couple years ago I was sitting at my desk when someone ran into my office and OH MY GOD "john" is bleeding and needs help. As trained I directed someone to call 911. I grabbed my kit and run into the locker room where "john" was. When I got in there my first thought was holy SH$T someone either got stabbed or cut a limb off. There was blood EVERYwhere. Walls, Ceilling, Floor, etc. Ironically same sort of deal.. it was a nose bleed from some sort of medical issue (I believe medication related). I could not believe the amount of blood. I was glad to get to him and help until EMS got there. He ended up being ok after a trip to the hospital thankfully.

Take care dude! Dont pay much attention to Mike he hasn't been the same since the snow tarpon did a swim-by of his hotel room while he was snowed in on the east coast!

Ben
