mikechell 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2013 I am one of those who actually saves money by tying my own flies. Since I am fishing for Large Mouth Bass and sunfish, duplicating nature isn't as necessary. So I am playing with cricket/hopper patterns and using the stuff I have on hand. Golf clothes colors do well for bass and bream, so this Mike's Golfing Cricket is one I finished a few minutes ago.

mikechell 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2013 Thanks, that's one of the things I am playing with. It leaves them free to swing. Looked pretty good on the water today, usually. But it also leaves them to swing too far and a couple of times, they were hung up in the other parts of the fly. More experimenting to go.
