Thanks :) I've got a friend who lives not far from a sewin beat. I might have to see if I can get there at some point. Gonna tie up some red and green hackle variations too

I will do. I know someone who has a lot of luck with wild browns, on a variation with a black hackle, rather than blue, too.

A size 1.5 Orange Carron. Tied with red holographic tinsel in place of silk rib and tied with two spey hackles.

A view of the wings

Here is my second try at the fly. Wound the spey hackle on like a collar and the bronze mallard really set well on this one.

flies from the last 2 days, tied some emergers, both no names that i just put together for my area.

secondly some dubbed leach/streamer patterns, the a man i work with created the ddh and this is somewhat my take on it, not sure how close i am, all tied with either beadchain or hourglass eyes some with a bit of extra weight added as well. threw a bunch together and think they will be killer for some smallmouth, catfish, carp, and drum in the area

Nice job on these; what were you using for the dubbing? Wool?

Thanks,

TC

the dubbing is just the extra, cut off bits and fibers that are too short from the craft fur i use to make the pike flies i posted formerly

Liked the look of the viva in the water, no where near as gaudy as I thought it would be. So tied up some smaller ones #16

Those would work well for panfish here in Michigan...especially the first one

Just going to add some before pictures of my boxes i took on holidays, you probably seen most of the patterns but it's pretty, the after - not so much lol. All my own stuff except a few swap ties and a couple tied by my buddy.

Peacock and black variant. This batch has a heavy hackle. The next one is going to be sparser, to cover my bases.
